The American Hospital Association (AHA) recently issued a cybersecurity advisory regarding a new ransomware threat, Rhysida, a ransomware-as-a-service group that targets the healthcare sector. The Rhysida group publishes stolen files online and therefore puts patient safety at risk.
The AHA advisory urges hospitals to "lower their risk by prioritizing remediation of known vulnerabilities, segment their networks and enable multifactor authentication." Eight mitigation strategies are included in the advisory. Read the AHA cybersecurity advisory here.
