Becker's Hospital Review reported, "The Joint Commission has added new and revised standing requirements for accreditation of both critical access hospitals and hospitals for infection control procedures."

The Joint Commission (TJC) will replace its “Infection Prevention and Control” (IC) chapter with new and revised requirements that become effective July 1, 2024. This change impacts critical access hospitals and hospitals, and it concentrates on policies and procedures that support safety and quality.
