North Oaks Pediatric Clinic
We work a 4 day, 8am to 5pm work week, scheduling approximately every 10 minutes. We take one in four call and split up the holidays equally. Typically we take a weekend of Friday, Saturday, Sunday with urgent care clinic on Saturday from 8am to 12pm. We round on our babies in the nursery each morning.
Board certification, board eligibility and a state license.
We see newborns at our one local hospital located minutes from our clinics with the assistance of excellent NICU backup and ease of transfer. There is a Pediatric Hospitalist that handles all pediatric admissions from clinic or ER.
Although we are on staff at the one local hospital, we receive newborns from multiple hospitals within 30-45 minute drive including St. Tammany Hospital in Covington and Lakeview Hospital in Mandeville, Ochsner in Baton Rouge, and Women's Hospital in Baton Rouge. We are ideally located in the center of these hospitals allowing our parents many options for delivery.
Describe the Market:
We are the largest of the 3-4 practices that see pediatric patients in the Hammond/Ponchatoula area. We have a large Medicaid base but also a good and thriving insurance mix.
We have recently had two busy Pediatricians retire after 40 years of service so we anticipate an immediate base of the new physician's practice.
Multiple options for pediatric therapies & specialist referrals, as well as lab work & radiology.
