Ark. Medical Society Sends Proposed Emergency Order to Governor Ensuring Access to Healthcare Resources to Treat COVID-19

During the week of April 6, 2020, the Arkansas Medical Society (AMS) and a coalition of other healthcare organizations sent a proposed Executive Order to Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. The proposal would authorize the use of any FDA approved drug, product or device, as well as investigational drugs and devices (approved for emergencies) while providing limited immunity to healthcare providers and healthcare facilities for actions related to COVID -19 treatment and “emergency management.”
