Position Summary: 
Responsible for meeting or exceeding new business sales goals and objectives; develops leads by attending industry conferences, individual effort and industry contacts/resources. Sells and retains quality business. Serves as primary contact person for existing clients and prospective clients within given territory. Develops relationships with clients and vendors to help influence sales. Responsible for Medical Interactive Community (MI) presence at all related industry conferences including coordination, set up and attendance.  

Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Works in a cooperative manner with management, coworkers, customers, and vendors; supports LAMMICO’s mission and vision in daily operations
• Contributes to the development of MI’s strategic and operational planning and meets assigned target dates; helps ensure that MI quality, service and productivity standards are met
• Review and understanding of clinical course content as directed
• Serves as MI front line contact person by responding to existing and new client phone calls and emails, making cold calls, attending offsite client meetings and securing new business
• Plans and coordinates sales and marketing activities in conjunction with MI Business Development Manager
• Meets and communicates with prospective clients by phone, email and in-person; evaluates clients’ needs in order to suggest appropriate RM products and services that best address/meet clients’ needs
• Prepares and submits proposals to MI potential clients
• Collaborates with internal and external contacts to implement product enhancements and changes
• Assists MI Business Development Manager with market research data analysis; monitors and evaluates competitors’ product offerings
• Demonstrates knowledge of, and stays abreast of regional and national healthcare trends and understands how they affect clients
• Participates in the development of solicitation letters, brochures and exhibit advertising materials as needed
• Plans, coordinates and attends assigned MI-related trade shows and conventions, including set up, take down, and shipping of equipment and materials
• Plans and implements strategies to retain current clients and discuss opportunities for additional product sales
• Attends meetings of medical societies, specialty associations, residency programs, and professional groups on a quarterly basis

Secondary Functions/Responsibilities:

• Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned
• Attends training as assigned

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in sales, marketing and communication
• Participation in the development and implementation of a marketing plan
• Ability to effectively present ideas and offer innovative solutions
• Ability to effectively deliver presentations to small or large audiences
• Knowledge of healthcare and technology industries
• Strong customer focus, team orientation and communications skills with the ability to interact with other departments, personnel and prospective clients at all levels both within and outside the company
• Ability to manage time, set priorities and work independently or in a group setting
• Ability to organize, analyze and interpret information
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential or sensitive company information
• Commitment to continuing industry and individual functional education
• Working knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite and multimedia software
• Travel up to 50% and ability to travel during the work week; some weekends and overnight stay
• Must have continuous and uninterrupted access to reliable transportation; must maintain driver’s license and insurance as required by state

Education, Experience and Skills Desired:

• Healthcare, insurance industry or risk management experience
• Nursing experience
• Outside sales experience
• Consultative sales experience
• Attended sales training programs
